Something I wrote for my father.  When I was little, if it wasn't my mother's classic rock that I was being exposed to, it was my fathers outlaw classic country music.  I never thought much of it at the time, but now that I'm older, I find a lot of peace in it.  Alas, what passes for "country" music nowadays is just an embarrassing mess of overproduced, overly-patriotic, beer and pickup truck commercials.  I suppose I intended this as a thank you note at the end of the day and, besides, every poet has to write the obligatory music poem, huh?
